| How to reach [Kyoto Station] from [Kansai International Airport]: |
| (1) Limited Express HARUKA, by Japan Railway (JR): |
|
The fastest and simplest way to reach the JR Kyoto station from the Kansai International Airport is taking the Limited Express train Haruka. To reach the train station lead for the second floor of the airport building then cross one of the three bridges connecting the Passenger Terminal Building to the Railway Station Building. The railway station serves two lines: the Nankai line and the JR West line. Go to the JR ticket counter and request a ticket to Kyoto on the Haruka Limited Express train (simply say “Kyoto, Haruka”). Alternatively the ticket can be bought at one of the ticket vending machines. The single ticket for reserved seat cost 3,490 yen (for non-reserved seat is 2,980 yen), there is a departure every 30 minutes and it takes about 75 minutes from the airport to the Kyoto station.
|
| (2) Airport Limousine Bus, by KATE (Kansai Airport Transportation Enterprise): |
Buses leave from at the 1st floor (International Arrival) of the airport building. Buses stops and tickets machines are outside the building. The Airport Limousine heading to Kyoto station leaves at bus stop of No. 8 (Do not take the Limousine to Osaka Itami Airport!) in every 35 - 60 minutes from 6:00 - 21:45 and it takes about 105 minutes. The tickets can be purchased directly before departure. The prices of the single ticket and the round-trip ticket are 2,300 yen and 3,800 yen, respectively.
The Limousine Bus arrives near the Hachijo Gate of Kyoto station. To reach the symposium site (MIELPARQUE KYOTO), please pass through an underground walkway of the Kyoto station from East Hachijo side to Central Gate side.
