The Imaging Society of Japan (hereinafter referred to as the Society) recognizes the importance of personal information and strives to appropriately handle the acquisition, use, and management of information that can identify specific individuals (hereinafter referred to as personal information) as follows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Acquisition of personal information<\/strong>
The Society will acquire personal information to the extent necessary in order to provide services consistent with the Society’s business objectives. When acquiring personal information, we will clearly state the purpose and, in principle, it will be based on the will of the person providing the information.

2. Use of personal information<\/strong>
The Society uses acquired personal information to the extent necessary to achieve its purpose. However, if any of the following apply, the information may be used or provided for purposes other than the purpose of acquisition.

In principle, the Society will promptly respond to requests from personal information providers to disclose their personal information. In addition, if we receive a request to correct personal information about ourselves, we will, as a general rule, promptly correct it.

At events hosted by the Society, the organizer may take photographs and videos. These may be published in the society’s journal, website, etc. Please note that this is especially likely for major speakers and award winners.
