Electronic books equipped with an electronic paper panel are widely used in the USA. The widespread use of such electronic books in Asian countries is just around the corner. The importance of electronic paper, which makes it possible to display images without regard to battery life, is getting recognized not only for electronic books but also for display devices used in a ubiquitous network system.
The Imaging Society of Japan presents the International Symposium of Electronic Paper, ISEP2012, the second symposium following ISEP2010. ISEP2012 invites electronic paper researchers and experts from the field of color technology, applications, materials and processes, and presents an opportunity for discussing state-of-the-art electronic paper technology. ISEP2012 will be a fruitful symposium for electronic paper researchers, deice designers and product planners.
